Company Leadership
Tom Dalessandri
Thomas P. Dalessandri is a respected law-enforcement leader whose career has been defined by integrity, conviction, and nobility. His experience includes diligent work as a young detective, thirteen years with the Aspen Police Department, where he served as deputy police chief and police chief, followed by eight years as the twice-elected sheriff of Garfield County. Now the founder and CEO of Colorado Protective Services, Tom provides the leadership, professional standards, and security expertise that guide the company.
His extensive background includes security operations, risk management, emergency management, special-event planning, and critical-incident response. Tom has also served as a security consultant to the Ninth Judicial District Court, on the advisory board for the Colorado Joint Terrorism Task Force, and as a member of the National Sheriffs’ Association Committee on Weapons of Mass Destruction. He expects every member of the Colorado Protective Services team to operate with vigilance, discretion, accountability, and respect.
Tom’s dedication to public service extends beyond law enforcement. Following Hurricane Katrina, he led a major relief effort in Mississippi that helped provide thousands of residents with food, supplies, emergency medical support, and rebuilding assistance. Working with organizations including the American Red Cross, FEMA, and the Salvation Army, he helped coordinate Colorado emergency-services personnel and critical resources for affected communities.
With more than thirty years of experience in law enforcement and public safety, Tom has earned a reputation for sound judgment, exceptional leadership, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others.
